Diana Macaraeg - Weekly Post 4

Awoiska van der Molen

1. Awoiska van der Molen is a Dutch photographer who had created a her photobook "Sequester" using monochromatic landscapes. She did many long exposures, by using the brightness of off the moon at night. All of Awoiska van der Molen's landscapes are located in Europe.

2. Awoiska van der Molen presented an eery mysterious feeling to each of her landscape photos. Not only because they were monochromatic, but it helped highlight details and a mix of different textures; from coarse to smooth. Some photos are very detailed, to some being very minimal.

3. I find this series to be absolutely gorgeous. I love the different values, the composition, and the smallest details. Many reviews state that this photobook is beyond words, and hopefully I can one day find this in stores or order it also.
