Dorthea Lange

Portrait photographer of the Great Depression. She shows How the depression effected different groups of people. Her photos capture the fine details that make a photograph show emotion. The eyes are either super sharp or even in a shadow to add emphasis. Moving forward in my portrait photography I would like to experiment with black and white photos. Also being in the right place at the right time helped Lange the actual emotions of everyone during that depression era were genuine.
