Vik Muniz is a photographer from Costa Rica who was inspired by chocolate. In Muniz's series of Photos, he makes photos of drawings, in chocolate syrup, of other photos. In Action Photo I and II (1997) are photographs of chocolate drawings of a photograph. Meaning there was an original photo he got the idea from that wasn't his. I don't think it's wrong to remake images that have been already seen in a new and creative way. The chocolate drippings work very well for portraying the paint drips of Pollock's work. The way the chocolate reflects the light is interesting and can be manipulated to show even more or less of a highlight. Something to experiment with in my next series of chocolate photos.
