Klaus Pichler

Klaus Pichler is a freelance photographer from Vienna, Austria. The start of this series comes from a visit to the Museum of Natural History, Vienna where he looked in a basement window and saw a desk, computer, and shelves, oh and a stuffed antelope too. He was intrigued and was given permission to see the museum in a way others had not. Some of the images are taken as seen while others are clearly staged. Either way, Pichler found a way to make a subject that is already interesting and make it even more interesting. I've visited museums in DC times over and always find it difficult to create interesting photographs from the same displays. Pichler probably would not have been able to produce this series without an ask. What's the worst that could happen? Being told no?
