Grannan is an American portrait
photographer. Her photos are well done nice photos of not so nice looking
people. The majority of the models were anonymous people of California who were
closer to the streets. Using natural light against a white background makes for
interesting cast shadows on the wall behind the subject and on the faces or bodies
of the models. The focus is also mostly on the overall shape of the person not
the face. The poses are either quarter turned or the models don’t look into the
camera at all.
