This series is titled "Reflect." I think these photographs address something that many people, especially myself with they could do, give advice to our younger selves. More importantly I think this series is trying to break down stereotypes of people in jail or prison. Many of the people in the situations do not wish to be there, and would try and change their outcome given the opportunity. I very much appreciate that this series combines something written, letters they write, which can often be deemed contraband, with stunning photographs. It engages me, forces me to combine the words I read with the person sitting before me, I imagine them reading it, I imagine myself receiving it. I am them.
